For a wedding gift, a friend gave us a cool address stamp from three designing women. What a great idea! It is most definately something that we didn't have because it has our shared name. And I love the designs. We picked (because our firend is cool and let us pick) the one on the bottom left, but I think the bottom right is nice too. Check them out at www.threedesigningwomen.com. They even sent us a proof on request.

Keep Calm!
http://dalidecals.com/product.
Trying to decide if I want to post this on the wall behind an eclectic collection of photos and posters...some would have to be in float frames so you could see it through, but this could be just what I need to keep the collection from going on the wall in too much of a linear pattern (just a box). I think I will get it in matte white so it will match the trip in my office.

Like I need more t-shirts!
But I do! I wear the same ones for running around all the time! I was directed to designs by humans. Anyone can send in a t-shirt design, and if it gets enough votes it is printed and people can order it. Because of some of the designs positions on the shirts, they aren't too cheap when considering they are t-shirts, no matter how cool they are, by they have a Serendipitee option, where you pick the size and for $10, plus shipping, they will send you any t-shirt they choose. Could be dangerous, but could get a totally cool suprise. I am anxiously awaiting my shipment to see what they sent me!

travels to San Angelo, TX
We have to go to San Angelo for a wedding next weekend. I checked my usual places to find a place to stay the night, and no dice. There were reviews that listed things like, "maid watching my tv when I came in," "itchy blanket," "had to park in a dark alley to get to my room." The bad reviews went on and on. (I got sick to my stomach reading them.) So, I ventured in to the realm of the bed and breakfast. We've never done the B&B scene. Usually they are more expensive and the idea of sleeping in a stranger's home always kind of weirded me out. (I really enjoyed watching King of Queens and they had a really awkward B&B experience. Sure, I learn all my life lessons from sitcoms.) But the place we are staying isn't technically someone's home...it is refurbished chicken coops. No lie. It looks pretty good and a lot better than the other options. I'll let you know how it goes.

fire king jade-ite
I love Fire King Jade-ite. I already have some mixing bowls, that I use as serving bowls, salad plates and oatmeal bowls, that I use as dessert plates/bowls. I don't want a whole set of Jade-ite; I just want to use it as accents on the table. So, the question is, do I need a serving platter, or do I already have enough "accents" on the table?

daily photo 5-1-09

So, my declaration that the photos had to be taken the day of the post won't last long, I believe. I took several photos today that may be good for a mundane day at the office. And I would exclude the possibility of posting any film shots due to processing time. So, I will post a photo a day and leave it at that. I still need to up my picture taking time.
I put alot of pressure on myself today, cause who wants to start out a blog with a lame photo. But I love the lines of this mix master, and several others around home...they are just beautiful to me. When they aren't loaded done with traffic. The camera kind of dumbed out on me and didn't open all the way, but I thing it adds to the composition a bit here. (I did take this photo today, as I had not yet made the decision to lift the "must take daily photo on that day" expectation.) This was on the way home. I stuck the camera out of the sun roof. I have to practice those shots a bit more, as I kept taking pictures of the top of my car.
